I'm wondering if it is possible on Tecplot 360 to have a slice after an iso-surface has been generated. I try to generate a slice and I get a slice of the contour used to create the iso-surface.
Slicing by volume, surface or volume and surface does not get me what I need. Any suggestions would be helpful. |

In Tecplot 360, derived objects (slices, iso-surfaces, streamtraces) pass through Zones. So for a slice to cut through an iso-surface it must first be extracted to a new zone. This can be done via: Data>Extract>Iso-Surfaces. When creating the slice, make sure instruct the slice to Slice through>Surface Zones, this setting can be found on the Definition page of the Slice Details dialog.
I hope that helps. Scott |
