Hello guys, I am trying to use the slice command in Tecplot to remove an octant of a cubic microstructure and to visualise the remaining similar to the image attached.

Thanks

Hello bereket,

The slice commands will not cut out an octant of your data like you have shown. However, this can be done with the Data Alter menu and Value Blanking. Because the octant is known, you can create a Blanking variable like so:

{Blank} = IF(X<=0 && Y<=0.5 && Z >= 0.25, 1, 0)

Then if you navigate to the Value Blanking dialog and turn it on for Blank equal to 1, it will blank the region X less than 0, Y less than 0.5, Z greater than 0.25.

Thanks,
John Connell
