Hey everyone,

I am trying to recreate the following image i made in paraView in techplot but I am not able to do it.

When i switch on vector in techplot the arrows come only within the cell centre.

I have looked into plot>vector>legths/variables

what ever options i select from above the vectors come only above the cell centre i want them to come like the below scattered evenly

Can you please help me as this has to be done soon

Thanks,
Hasan K.J

Have you tried Tecplot’s “skip” feature for reducing the number of vectors (which may be what you are seeking).

With the Vector toggled on, go to Zone Style…>>Points>>Index Skip and increase the skip from 1,1,1 to something larger, e.g. 3,3,3.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your suggestion and sorry for the late reply,

I just tried it does work to a level but it still suffice my needs and does not come close to the image I have attached,

The method you suggested the vectors are less dense but they are still weirdly uniform as the vectors come only in cell centres equally spaced, By any chance do you know any method to make them look random all over the place

Regards,
