On my macbook pro running OSX yosemite, I had installed tecplot at my univ and it was working. This is single user license.

At home, it complains about invalid license and it seems to have problem with hostname.

At my univ, the network DNS sets some hostname. On my home network, it gets some other hostname from my airport. The license was created with the hostname given in my uni.

How to fix this ? I had no problem with older versions. The hostname should really not be used to validate anything.

Hello Praveen. Perhaps your Tecplot key was build using the university's Mac address, not your machine's Mac address.

We will take this off-line from the CFD forum and handle it as a formal incident. We will make sure we get you a key that works regardless of your physical location.

Hello Praveen. I already opened an incident last week. I sent both you and your Tecplot distributor an email with details on Tuesday 3 February 2015. This is your Tecplot distributor in India. http://adeptogeoit.com/home/index.php

Please let me know if you did not receive my email. Email me directly at support@tecplot.com

Hello Straton

I did not receive any email. The license is linked to our system admin (shree @ math.tifrbng.res.in) but he has not received any email either.

Here is what I found. I obtained the license file while connected to wired network.

If then I disconnect wired ethernet and connect to my wireless network, tecplot says license not valid.
