How to deal with the data file for unsteady problem with Tecplot?
In other words, I mean that how to deal with the time step in the data file so that tecplot can read it. Thanks! |

I'm not sure if I understood you right. What I do if i want to load the many timeshots is load multiple files using the add to the current data set option.I write each timeshot file as filename_time.dat.
Hope this helps |

Hi, Harish
Your way is to build each data file for each timeshot. I ever have thought over this way. But I think that this can produce too many data files. So I want to know whether there are some other more concise ways to deal with the problem. |

I do it the same way Harish does it, then use a macro to create an animation.

If you have tecplot 360 you can possible write a macro in python to handle the opening of all those files and producing the animation.
