Hi everybody,

after some troubles I was finally able to add face neighbour data for adjacent zones to the binary tecplot files of my simulation data. However, although the face neighbour info is correctly loaded the contour lines are still unsteady at zone boundaries. Actually there is no change whatsoever if I use a dataset with or without face neighbour data. Here is a close-up screenshot of the problem:

Zone boundaries (edges) are orange, mesh is activated, data is ijk structured. I marked two neighbor cells in adjacent zones (5 & 12). As you can see both cells know that they are neighbours. Still there is a crack in the contour line. Actually the tecplot manual also said that the edge between two adjacent zones would vanish...

Am I missing something? Do I additionally have to active the use of face neighbor info somehow? Any help&comments would be highly appreciated!

Kind regards,
Markus

Hi everybody,
the problem is solved!
I just had to switch on the accurate variable derivation (options > performance > misc > variable derivation > accurate (Laplacian)).
So if anybody else runs into problems, try this first!
