Hello forum,

Computing mesh quality statistics for the dual control volumes.
+--------------------------------------------------------------+
| Mesh Quality Metric| Minimum| Maximum|
+--------------------------------------------------------------+
| Orthogonality Angle (deg.)| 2.72453| 53.1852|
| CV Face Area Aspect Ratio| 1.94744| 950.364|
| CV Sub-Volume Ratio| 1.22567| inf|
+--------------------------------------------------------------+

What about this? (the tetrahedral mesh generated by Tetgen)

Regards
Giovanni

Maybe there is a cell of volume zero, causing a Sub-Volume ratio of infinity.

Thank you for your reply. I will check.
In case, is it "normal" that Su2 is able to start and diverges after some tens of steps (a steady state run)?
Is this Su2 message (I mean "Inf") coming from the dual grid? This last question is motivated by the fact that Teigen is very robust (never found a zero volume tetrahedron), and quality constraints are used for generating the grid
I'll check
Grazie!
Giovanni

The Tetgen mesh seems to be ok: no negative volume element.
This has also been checked within the application, with few additional lines scanning all the tetrahedra and compare each volume with std::numeric_limits<double>::epsilon: no zero volume elements are found.
Su2 starts, issues "inf", performs more than 200 inner iterations (CFL = 1.0) and stops because of divergence.
In attachment a short summary (pdf)
