Hello,

I am studying an airfoil separated flow case using SU2, I run the tutorial case and have the unsteady solution in time. I am trying to solve the time averaged solution, e.g. in 3 periods, and output the mean flow fields, as well as the mean coefficients on the surface. I have activate the option

% Compute the average solution for unsteady simulations (NO, YES)
COMPUTE_AVERAGE= YES
% Restart the average process from a previous averaged solution (NO, YES)
%RESTART_AVERAGE= NO

%% Starting iteration and type for windowed-time-averaging
WINDOW_CAUCHY_CRIT= YES
WINDOW_START_ITER= 1200
WINDOW_FUNCTION= HANN_SQUARE

When I check the solution, there is no averaged solution neither in the field nor on surface data. could you please help me how to set the configure file?

you can add the keyword TIME_AVERAGE to the volume output.
Alternatively, you can add all available time averaged quantities, like MEAN_DENSITY, MEAN_VELOCITY-X, RMS_U, ...
