Hello friends:
I am using the SU2 to simulate a pitching airfoil . And i find the corresponding .cfg file write: % ----------------------- DYNAMIC MESH DEFINITION -----------------------------% % GRID_MOVEMENT= RIGID_MOTION MOTION_ORIGIN= (0.25 0.0 0.0) PITCHING_OMEGA= (0.0 0.0 14.91675) PITCHING_AMPL= (0.0 0.0 8.0) Now i want to know what kind of mesh deformation method is used and how can i edit the corresponding source code about it? Thanks. |

Dear denghong,
I'd say that the source code snippet that you provided refers to rigid motion, so basically it is a rigid transformation (in this case a sinusoidal rotation around the MOTION_ORIGIN, with the specified amplitude and omega). Although, as you are specifying it, it is "pitching" around the Z axis. |
