Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on minimizing drag on a winglet using the shape_optimization.py script in SU2. While I've gone through the tutorials and have a basic understanding of how to use the function, I'm struggling to understand how the code actually works. I've attempted to dive into shape_optimization.py code to understand its structure, but I end up getting myself lost in the classes and functions. I've also tried researching online, but the available information seems to be quite high-level and not very detailed. I understand that the script uses different SU2 tools like CFD, DEF, GEO, and ADs, but I'd like to get a clearer understanding of how it all fits together. Specifically, I'm interested in how the code runs these tools and what each step involves. I'd really appreciate any explanations that could help me understand what's going on in this function to avoid treating this script like a black box. Thank you for your help. |
