Hello all,
I'm trying to simulate a supersonic backward facing step but the I get an error which to be honest I have no idea what it means. By looking online I have seen only one guy having a similar problem in OF but no-one answered to his post ------------------- Geometry Preprocessing ( Zone 0 ) ------------------- Two dimensional problem. 58102 grid points before partitioning. 57500 volume elements before partitioning. 4 surface markers. 450 boundary elements in index 0 (Marker = sym). 100 boundary elements in index 1 (Marker = Inlet). 150 boundary elements in index 2 (Marker = Outlet). 500 boundary elements in index 3 (Marker = Wall). Executing the partitioning functions. Building the graph adjacency structure. Calling ParMETIS... graph partitioning complete (609 edge cuts). Distributing ParMETIS coloring. Per user-direction, the job has been aborted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mpiexec noticed that process rank 0 with PID 0 on node Alessio exited on signal 11 (Segmentation fault). This is the error, I'm using an MPI version of SU2 as I couldn't manage to install the original version.... Any help is very appreciated. |

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, but these kind of problems are difficult to solve because of the lack of information. This is I think mostly due to a mismatch between how SU2 was compiled and the actual mpi used by the system. If you haven't done so, try to compile SU2 yourself, it will then use the correct mpi version. If you compiled SU2 yourself and you get this issue, then check that the SU2 executable is actually using the mpi version that was used during compilation. |
