Default Simulation beginning from initialized solution rather than restart file

Hello,

I am trying to restart a simulation from a solution file. I am using an unsteady RK4 temporal scheme with the standard time stepping method. However, when I try to restart the simulation from a saved solution, it begins again from the freestream state. I believe I am specifying all of the correct options in my configuration file to allow the simulation to restart properly. I never had issues with this when using the dual time stepping method, but I am with standard time stepping. The output file also says it is reading the previous solution state correctly.

I am attaching my configuration file and two pictures showing the solution used for the restart and the solution that results one time step after the restart. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
Did you manage to solve this problem? If not, could you confirm that the restart file actually contains the correct solution by inspecting the csv file (it might be different from the visualization files)? Could you then also confirm that the correct file is used for the restart?

No, I have not been able to solve this problem. I checked the .csv and confirmed that the correct solution is actually contained within it. I am restarting from iteration number 500000. In the output file, it says that the flow solution is being read from solution.csv, not solution_499999.csv, though I do not think this is an issue since it is simply repeating information from the .cfg file (plus, solution.csv doesn't even exist).
