Dear SU2 users,
in my present CFD project I want to simulate flow through a porous media with known pressure-drop characteristics. In Fluent there is a notion of porous jump boundary condition which is very helpful. Does SU2 have such a type of BC or something similar? If not, maybe some of you have already tried to implement it in SU2? I appreciate your help/suggestions/hints. |

Hi!
We currently do not have porous jump boundary conditions. If you have a lot of time reserved for your CFD project, then this would certainly be a valuable addition! You can have a look at the implementation of the multi-zone approach and extend the interface boundary condition. The starting point will then be this: https://su2code.github.io/docs_v7/Multizone/ and setting up a testcase with 2 fluid zones connected The next step is then to understand how interfaces work in SU2, which is done in the file CMultiZoneDriver.cpp |
