Hi,
I am student whose currently in the methodology investigation phase for a master thesis in AeroStructural analysis(CFD+FEM) & optimization. My question is whether SU2 can perform this kind of Multidisciplinary optimization by itself, or does need to work with programs such as Engineering Sketch Pad (ESP), NeoCass and OpenMDAO? If so, does it have full compatibility or requires some sort of translation for these programs? Please pardon such specific questions, as I do not have access to the documentation of these programs nor experience in them. Thank you for your time! |

Yes it can.
- Only solid elements are available (no shells). - Optimization only for steady state FSI. You will need to know a bit of python to run the optimizations. |
