I'm looking for a little more information about this Engine Inflow BC that appears in the config file template that ships with v7.0.3. Despite the name, it seems to be an outflow boundary condition for the compressible solver which permits prescribing a known exit Mach number, mass flow rate, or back pressure, in which the back pressure is automatically adjusted periodically to reach a user-specified Mach number or mass flow rate target in the case of the first two options. Do I have this right, and is this known to be working in v7.0.3?

For a case I have, the Outlet boundary condition with a user-specified back-pressure works fine. I tried switching this marker over to this ENGINE_INFLOW_TYPE = FAN_FACE_MDOT with a mass flow rate specified via the MARKER_ENGINE_INFLOW parameter. The code immediately diverges, so I was curious whether my assumptions about its implementation were correct, whether it was known to be working, and perhaps an example of its use. Is there maybe some other parameter that needs to be specified that I've overlooked?

In any case, such a BC would be nice to have--I'm not sure why this functionality couldn't be rolled into the existing MARKER_OUTLET boundary condition implementation with perhaps a MARKER_OUTLET_TYPE parameter providing options to prescribe a Mach number or mass flow rate at an exit boundary in addition to the already existing static pressure option.

Thanks!
