Hello everyone!
I'm trying to simulate the effect of a burst on a 3D wing with a high aspect ratio. Since the burst was intended for 2D cases only, I had to modify two different classes in order to run the simulation. I modified numerics_direct_mean.cpp which is the class in which I calculate the source term obtained from the Slip Velocity method and I also modified iteraction_structure.cpp which is the class that initializes the shape of the burst. After this, I was able to run my simulation but when I see the results on Paraview, something strange happens. When the gust reaches the wing, the non-slip condition set for the wing (Marker Heatflux) seems to be not respected This situation means that I am not 100% sure of the results I get despite the simulation does not give me back problems or go into divergence. In a 2D case this obviously does not happen. I would be very grateful if you could offer me feedback on what is happening in my simulation. It's a gust implementation error, do I have to change the boundary conditions manually? Thanks so much for your availability Ps in attachment I have inserted two images of the same instant of time where you can see the passage of the gust and the value of the mach other than zero on the wing |
