Hi Everyone,

I was testing "Inviscid Supersonic Wedge" tutorial from SU2 (v7.0.0) and observed some weird thing.

Case 1: Download mesh (.cgns) and configuration file from "su2code.github.io/Inviscid_Wedge/" and run the case. Solution looks smooth near shock with .cgns mesh and even with .su2 mesh generated using SU2_DEF.

Case 2: Download configuration file only form github-SU2 and generate .su2 mesh using Gmsh with same number of nodes and elements as in tutorial mesh. But now the solution with this mesh file does not look smooth near shock. (see attached Mach contour).

I checked both mesh, Gmsh generated and tutorial mesh in Paraview and both are exactly same and I am using same configuration file but still the results are different.

Any suggestions on this? Why its happening? (.cfg and both mesh file attached).

I am interested in generating the same mesh, but I can't figure out how to refine the mesh near the shock using gmsh. Do you think you can share the .geo file, or the command lines you used in the script file to refine the mesh there?
