Hi everyone, I am a college student and I am working with SU2 as my end-of-degree project.


I am having trouble imposing the right BC in the outlet end when adapting the flatplate test case to a supersonic flow. I am trying to put Riemann BC but that's not working. I've also tried the MARKER_SUPERSONIC_OUTLET BC, but that doesn't seem to work either.


Could someone suggest how to approach this case?

Hi Dylan,


What seems to not be working in your simulation?



In any case, I would suggest using MARKER_OUTLET. The supersonic outlet will not properly work since there should be an area of subsonic flow. Let me know if this helps.

What happens is that the simulation converges to a wrong solution when I try with the Riemann BC. I've already tried the MARKER_OUTLET but in that case the simulation didn't even converge.


I could attach the .cfg file in case it helps.
