SU2 Solution Speed

I'm a student new to SU2 (and have comparatively little CFD experience in general). I'm trying to run a 2D cylinder vortex shedding verification case and the runtime is quite long for the small mesh I am using (about 1100 time steps over 60 hours - 33000 points in the mesh).
I've attached my configuration file. Is there something in my inputs that is causing such a slow solution? I've tried several configurations (time-stepping, dual time-stepping, implicit, explicit, etc.) and the runtimes are about the same. Like I said, I'm still a little rough around the edges when it comes to CFD, so any suggestions help. I am running version 6.0.0 |

Hi Hugo,
If you could share the mesh (filesize shouldn't be an issue), that would help. And as you want to run a "2D cylinder vortex shedding verification case" it would be great to share that Paper/Website/etc as well. Because looking at your config file left me a bit confused. So instead of guessing what you are trying to do exactly, I would prefer looking at the verification case and the mesh+config and see what one can do. Cheers, Tobi |

Thanks, TKatt
I am just trying to get good results for the Strouhal number, so I don't have any particular published cases that I'm looking at. The mesh exceeded the attachment size, so I've uploaded it to google drive. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iMr...ew?usp=sharing |
