Hi, I was doing simulation of flow over a missile, But the problem the direction of flow.

The missile was oriented in positive x direction, and the flow by default in SU2 is also oriented in positive x direction. I could not find any option, which can help me to change the flow direction to negative x. Although, there is one option FREE_STREAM_VELOCITY which takes 3 arguments, I tried giving -1 in first argument, but it was not helpful.

If anyone has experience in dealing with this kind of situation, Please help.

Angle of attack 180 deg may do the job but be careful with alpha and beta definitions (just check it out).

The direction of flow did not change. There has to be some other way.

I have not experienced such a problem but maybe rotating the mesh using SU2_MSH may work.

Thanks, Rotating the mesh worked.

But, I just want to know for future, if there is some option to assign velocity direction.

Angle of attack and sides slip angle option decides the flow velocity direction.......
