Hi,

I´m facing the problem that the generated .vtk file from SU2 to analyze the results of my simulation in PARAVIEW does not allow me to extract spezific faces of my simulation.

I'm simulating a wing and I gave the upper and the lower side of the wing different markers in the .cfg file.
In PARAVIEW I just want to see the results of the upper side. But the buttons for the appropriate surface or block extraction filters are greyed out. So I am just able to see the solution of the whole domain.
Does anybody know a solution of my problem? Do I have to pay attention to something special loading in the .vtk file?

Kind regards

Thanks,

When I open the surface_flow.vtk with notepad++ i cannot see anything that would give PARAVIEW a clue where to find the different marker_surfaces.
I´m currently genereting the mesh in a different software (ANSA) and export it to CGNS.
Do you use also CGNS and can see the different marker_faces?

Different marker faces...
It exports all the faces u specify to export as a single entity (In PARAVIEW) . You can also specify individual faces u want to analyze in MARKER Plotting and rerun it multiple times to get output for different faces and save them with different names (a workaround).
