Hello, I have done the SU2 parallel build. I was able to run parallel with this command "mpirun -n 64 SU2_CFD turb.cfg . However, now I got this error message "63 more processes have sent help message help-mpi-btl-base.txt". It runs too slow. How can I fix it?

Hi,
I'm not sure about the error message but is 64 processes too much? I usually try to run a few short tests on lower core counts to get a handle run times and how my job is going to scale out. Then I'll decide the final core count I want to run on and kick the production run off. I've found that scale out is a balance between cells per core and communication so simply shoving huge core counts at a problem may not always be the best. A quick google of the error text indicates that it may not be a problem and is a warning. Are you running on a local machine or across a network? See: https://github.com/open-mpi/ompi/blo...i-btl-base.txt |
