Hi all,

When I'm trying to optimize ONERA M6 wing using the mesh file with FFD information made by myself, it always diverged in the second step

So I decided to check the mesh file (mesh_ONERAM6_inv_FFD_02_deform.su2)generated in the second step, but it can't be opened in Tecplot Therefore I want to change the su2 format to cgns or other format that can be check in Tecplot. But I don't know how to do it :/ Does anyone meet the same problem or know how to solve it?

Any advice will be grateful!

Hi Bingfei,

you can do that with SU2_DEF.

Add the following options to your config file:

DV_KIND= SCALE
DV_MARKER = comma separated list with ALL your markers
DV_PARAM = (0,0)
DV_VALUE = 1.0
VISUALIZE_DEFORMATION= YES

Then run SU2_DEF. You should find a file volumetric_deformation.dat in the folder which you can open with Tecplot.

Tim

PS: Just saw that you are running an optimization. Then it is even easier: Just add the option VISUALIZE_DEFORMATION= YES to your config file and run the optimization again. Then you should the above mentioned file in the folder DESIGNS/DSN_002/DEFORM.
