I am having trouble running the first tutorial of SU2 (Inviscid Euler). For some reason the Multigrid is causing the code to stop running. Below is the last section of the log file:
------------------------- Geometry Preprocessing ------------------------ Setting point connectivity. Renumbering points (Reverse Cuthill McKee Ordering). Recomputing point connectivity. Setting element connectivity. Checking the numerical grid orientation. Identifying edges and vertices. Computing centers of gravity. Setting the control volume structure. Area of the computational grid: 1.25e+03. Searching for the closest normal neighbors to the surfaces. Compute the surface curvature. Max K: 7.84e+03. Mean K: 34.8. Standard deviation K: 494. Setting the multigrid structure. Has anyone else had this or a similar problem? |

Are you running in parallel? If you try to run it using too many processors then that can make it really slow. I'd recommend using your number of processors minus one or two (I use 6, since my computer has 8).
Also, for me that step has taken a while (on the order of a couple minutes) for really computationally heavy tasks. However since you're running a tutorial mesh I don't think that'd be the issue. Unfortunately I can't offer much else, since I've never had it completely stop at that step. |
