Hi, guys,

I am using SU2 for CFD optimization now, but I don't have any description about the optimize algorithm SLSQP used by SU2. I searched it on the internet but I could't find any detail description. What I have found is

Kraft D. A software package for sequential quadratic programming. DFVLR Obersfaffeuhofen, Germany; 1988.

, but I can not download this paper(or book?).

So is anyone can give me some detail description about SLSQP?

Thanks.

Hi Jason,

here is a short description: http://www.pyopt.org/reference/optimizers.slsqp.html

It is essentially just a Quasi-Newton method using a BFGS approximation.

Thank you very much for your reply, Tim.

Just one one question: how to ensure the constraints are met as Quasi-Newton method is a unconstrained optimization algorithm?

Bset,

Hi dasssj,
I am also in xian.
I just want to know do you have any idea about the unsteady simulation of SU2. I cannot get the time-averaged flow solution …
Thank you.

Sorry, Yan . I use SU2 only for steady simulation.
