LetsCFD is on a distinguished road
It seems to me that the SU2_EDU is able to generate both file formats without using those external libraries. Why does the SU2 have to use them? Is it possible to build SU2 without those dependencies?

Well, I understand it now.

./configure accepts a lot of switches. One of them is to disable the TECPLOT.
