Hi,guys!
I'm using SU2(4.0.2) for CFD research, and I have some questions about the residual of SU2. In my case(M100 wing, Ma=0.8027, Re=11.31E6, AoA= 2.873), the residual(Res_Flow[0]) has already very small(-8) after 10000 iterations, but the force coefficients(Cl,Cd) have not converged. Is it the problem of the mesh or the setting of the configuration? Best regards, Jason Shih |

Based on your plots it is not yet converged. The residual has reduced by less than an order of magnitude, generally we look for at least 4 orders of magnitude reduction (so, a log(residual) of -12 in your case). Tools like the multigrid, and CFL parameters may be useful in accelerating the convergence. |
