Like erams in an earlier post, I installed SU2 using the Windows binaries, and it works as it should.
Now, trying to do the quickstart tutorial as well, I found that there is at least a version on github that is using deprecated config options. (ie: su2code/documentation/quickstart/[]) I appreciate that it is particularly hard to maintain backwards compatibility when the program is still in development. Apart from reading and comparing the config_options.cfg file every new version, how often do these instructions change? I'm sure you have thought of that, and was wondering if there is a resource/file/thread that keeps track of that? |

For tracking config file option changes, the config_template.cfg file in the SU2 repository is usually the best way - we try not to change them too frequently, and have an error message that will help users identify which options need to be removed or modified. |

Ah very well, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the help!
