Hello everyone,
I am trying to import my mesh into SU2 but I am getting the following error i.e Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 110, in <module> main() File "/usr/local/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 61, in main options.compute ) File "/usr/local/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 88, in parallel_computation info = SU2.run.CFD(config) File "/usr/local/bin/SU2/run/interface.py", line 88, in CFD run_command( the_Command ) File "/usr/local/bin/SU2/run/interface.py", line 276, in run_command raise exception , message RuntimeError: Path = /home/mohdbilal/SU2v4.0.0/TestCases/rans/naca0012/, Command = mpirun -n 2 /usr/local/bin/SU2_CFD config_CFD.cfg SU2 process returned error '139' -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mpirun noticed that process rank 1 with PID 10561 on node mohdbilal-Lenovo-G500 exited on signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Geometry: NACA 0012 Using gmsh I know there is a tutorial version of NACA0012, but I am trying to figure out what am I doing wrong while importing mesh from gmsh to su2 (note: I directly converted mesh in su2 format from gmsh saveas option). I am uploading my .geo file please let me know Thanks!!! Dev. |

Hi Mesut,
could you solve this problem? I'm experiencing the same issue with my mesh (defined in gmsh and exported in .su2 format). I'm almost sure that the problem is only in writing the solution because from the printed results in the terminal i think that the simulation proceeds in the rigth way. Thank you in advance! Andrea |

Hi gays,
I also encountered the same problem. During the stage of output solution files, getting the following error, ------------------------- Solution Postprocessing ----------------------- ================================================== ================================= = BAD TERMINATION OF ONE OF YOUR APPLICATION PROCESSES = PID 10154 RUNNING AT jiewu = EXIT CODE: 139 = CLEANING UP REMAINING PROCESSES = YOU CAN IGNORE THE BELOW CLEANUP MESSAGES ================================================== ================================= YOUR APPLICATION TERMINATED WITH THE EXIT STRING: Segmentation fault (signal 11) This typically refers to a problem with your application. Please see the FAQ page for debugging suggestions Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 116, in <module> main() File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 67, in main options.compute ) File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/parallel_computation.py", line 102, in parallel_computation info = SU2.run.merge(config) File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/SU2/run/merge.py", line 91, in merge merge_solution(konfig) File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/SU2/run/merge.py", line 117, in merge_solution SU2_SOL( config ) File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/SU2/run/interface.py", line 239, in SOL run_command( the_Command ) File "/home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/SU2/run/interface.py", line 302, in run_command raise exception(message) RuntimeError: Path = /home/jiewu/Documents/turONERAM6/, Command = mpirun -n 4 /home/jiewu/Downloads/SU2/bin/SU2_SOL config_SOL.cfg SU2 process returned error '139' Parallel computing process is normal,so I am pretty agree with Andrea's point of view. Did you solve this problem? |

In gmsh make sure to create a volume zone for the fluid and enable "Save All" when exporting it to SU2 format.
