Hello all,
I am trying to compute moving bodies simulations within SU2. The dynamic moving body works fine but I end up with higly stretched elements for large motions. Is there a way to do remeshing with SU2? Thank you. |

Hello,
as of now there is not a way to do remeshing implemented in SU2. The mesh update is done using a linear-elasticity approach, which may be controlled by using the following parameters: DEFORM_LINEAR_ITER= 500 -> Number of smoothing iterations DEFORM_NONLINEAR_ITER= 1 -> Number of deformation increments Hope this helps, and thanks for your interest in SU2. |

Hello rsanfer,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the linear-elasticity ends up with very streched meshes on my cases. I thought that combining the unsteady mesh adaptation with dynamic moving body would be a solution to solve this kind of problems, but it seems that no one has implemented/tried it yet. Thanks again. |
