I'm trying to understand the config file used as input. I've attached two input files. The first file is from the config template I downloaded that I changed to match the case I'm trying to run. The second file is from the test cases for a NACA0012 that I have also changed to match the input from the first (or so I thought). I ran the cases using the same grid file but got different outputs. I'm trying to understand why that happened. I changed the extension of both to .txt to post the files here

SU2 will output what settings are being used at the beginning of execution, including those set in the config file explicitly, those set by default values, and those calculated. Try comparing this output - if the two config files really are running the same settings this output should be identical, and if not should be helpful in identifying which settings are different. (you can also try running diff on your two input files). You should also check that you are calling the same version of SU2 (if you had multiple versions installed), and using the same mesh files, and solution files if you are restarting the solution. |
