I am trying to simulate a case of supersonic flow over a Forward facing step. Can Adaptive Mesh Refinement be used in SU2. Can someone explain how this can be accomplished in SU2?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, we do have mesh adaption capabilities in the code, in particular in the SU2_MSH module.

Unfortunately, we do not have a tutorial available for that feature at the moment. However, you can find the available options in the config_template.cfg file in the root source directory, and there is also a script named mesh_adaptation.py that you will find in SU2_PY/ that you can use to help you get started.

Hope this helps,
Tom
