Greetings,

I am interested in a) Temperature b) Heat flux c) Pressure d) Cp e) Mach in the output file 'flow.dat', however SU2 isn't plotting Temperatures and Heat flux for cases of interest. Changing the solver sometimes helps but not always.

As I see conservative_1 -> conservative_4 could any of these be Temperatures? For different solvers, where in the SU2 source code could I search to find out which one of them is temperature.

How do I get the above plots while using Euler, Navier Stokes, TNE2_Euler and TNE2_Navier_Stokes solvers?

Thanks in advance!

Same question here. I think the source file SU2_CFD/include/variable_structure.hpp will be a good start. You can find definition of classes of CEulerVariable, CNSVariable, etc. I have not looked into it in detail.

By the way, I am planning to use TNE2_Euler/NS modules as well. Do you mind telling me what flow region are you focused on? I am working on Mach 8-12 and haven't get the code working yet.

Thanks,
Danny

Hey Danny!

Thanks, will look into it and revert back soon.

I'm using the TNE2_Euler/NS too! I've got a case running on the blunted nose cone with cone angle of 20deg at 5.8M. For anything above 7M I've had trouble with solver stability. Right now, I'm running cases for 20M.

As, I'm exploring solver fidelity with varied geometries and flow regimes, I could run the cases you are planning to as well, let me know if you'd want me to.

Regards,
Wel

Hey Wel,

I am still struggling with the cases. According to another post, I modified the mesh, so that y+<1. Yet I cannot get the case running or get converged results. Do you mind taking a look at my case files? If so, can you give me your email address so that I can send the files to you?

Thanks!
Danny
