Hi there,
The dynamic mesh option of moving wall that is offered by SU2, does it solve the problem by assigning the mesh points on the boundary with the specified speed with which we want the wall to move or does it actually deform the mesh. If it actually deforms the grid, can someone please tell me which mesh deformation strategy is used (like spring analogy or blending formulation to maintain orthogonality at wall or something else); and also it will be very much helpful if someone can mention the .cpp file which has the mesh deformation strategy code in it. Thanks. |

Where the wall velocity is set can be found in the boundary condition subroutines in solver_direct_mean.cpp. (search for GridVel). Deformation code (not used for grid velocity) is found in Common/grid_movement_structure.cpp. |
