In the flow result file, I found "Sharp_Edge_Dist" variable. Just wondering the use of it.

This measures the closest distance from a 'sharp edge' which is loosely defined by some curvature criterion on the geometry's surface. It's used to filter out numerical error in the adjoint solution that occurs around sharp edges.
