Hi everyone,
I am trying to set up a shape optimization of a 2D multielement wing using the Hicks-Henne bump. If I set up the optimization to deform only the main profile the computations run normally. Instead, if I try to deform both profiles, after the first iteration the code blows up. I thought was due to the fact that the two profiles can be too close, but even if I make a clear space between them the code stops after the first iteration. Is there someone that can help to understand what I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance for your time |

Hi Giorgio,
Can you post a log file? If these are two separate airfoils, I would suggest trying to have separate HH DVs. i.e. -> (30, 1.0 |airfoil_1| 0, 0.05) and (30, 1.0 |airfoil_2| 0, 0.05) Best, Wally |
