Hi everyone,
I want to perform shape optimization on a bent pipe with FFD, but I need as objective function the minimization of the pressure drop. Is it possible to implement something like this in su2? If yes, how should I do that? Thank you, Martina |

Hi there,
it is already implemented in the current develop-branch, at least if you refer to integral-averaged values for the pressure drop. Set MARKER_ANALYZE = ( ... ) to the boundary markers where you want to evaluate the averaged pressure and OBJECTIVE_FUNCTION = SURFACE_TOTAL_PRESSURE. You can also easily adapt the calculation of the respective variables (or adding some) - have a look at COutput::SpecialOutput_AnalyzeSurface in output_structure.cpp. Regards, Ole |
