Hi all,
One of the possible objectives listed in the SU2 config_template is "efficiency". The definition (expression) of efficiency will depend on the fluidic device being simulated (e.g. pump vs turbine, engine vs heat-pump etc..). Can someone please clarify which definition of efficiency is meant here, as a possible objective function? Also, in particular, I am trying to optimize the efficiency of a free surface hydro-turbine. I know two phase flow capability is not in the current stable release of SU2. But is there a way to get around it to simulate free surface flow? (In the objective functions list, I can see an objective - "free_surface"). So wanted to confirm if free surface simulation is still possible? Finally, by using discrete adjoint, it it possible to use custom objective functions? Kind regards Prakriteesh Last edited by fluxCatcher; August 11, 2017 at 00:47. Reason: grammatical error |
