Hi,
In the case I am considering, I want to minimize the total force object by changing the position of the object. I am able to achieve minimization with respect to drag. I 1. In one of the previous threads , it was mentioned that , to minimize lift , I can set up the OPT_OBJECTIVE = LIFT *-.001 . But this does not seem to work correctly. The lift computed in the function evaluation step after a gradient evaluation step moves in the direction of increasing lift. Moreover, the lift doesnt change from the initial state value. However, I have found that there is a location which gives near zero lift. Is there any other change I should make? 2. Is there anyway to give the resultant force as the objective? Maybe the adjoint equation is not converging properly, could you please send us the case that you want to optimize?
Cheers, Francisco |
