Hello

I downloaded and installed SU2 version 2.0.3 released yesterday.
But when I am trying to run a shape optimization case using python
script, I am getting an error.

It was working fine with SU2 version 2.0

Can someone tell why this error is coming ?
The error log file is attached with the post.

Hi Anant

I have read the error report that you attached, I have encountered the same error as you did, that's right , absolutely the same error!!

I have checked that the history_adjoint.dat file, there is sth wrong in the output file, it seems that the errors come from the inappropriate SU2_SOL output.

Hello SU2 Team

There seems to a lot of confusion while running shape optimization
cases using SU2 2.0.3

As suggested in the previous post, I modified the configuration file
to run shape optimization cases using SU2 2.0.3. But even then errors are
coming while running the case.

I tried rotating airfoil testcase with SU2 2.0.3 using serial version, but NaN occurred after running for some time.
I am attaching the configuration file and the run.log file with this post.

Moreover, this case doesn't run with parallel version (log file attached)

Please look into this issue. It would be nice if some standard configuration file is provided for
shape optimization cases for SU2 version 2.0.3

have you tried optimizing the (non-rotating) naca0012 test case? if not please give it a try as this will be a better reference for today. it's under TestCases/euler/naca0012

Hi Trent

I tried the NACA0012 optimization case (non rotating euler flow).
This works fine. But when I am trying to run other examples
like rotating NACA or RANS RAE2822, I am getting error.

I have attached configuration file and run.log file for RANS optimization
of RAE2822 airfoil.

Can you please have a look and suggest the corrective measure ?
