Hi there,

The past week I have installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS as a dual boot on my laptop alongside with Windows 10. I have been trying to install SU2 on my Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I have tried to install using 'Build from source' and the 'simple build' option. I have followed all the steps (see https://su2code.github.io/docs/Simple-Build/) which seem to be utterly simple and yet when trying to run the quick start tutorial using the command 'SU2_CFD inv_NACA0012.cfg' I get an error which is depicted in the figure in the link below.

I have been stuck on this problem for several days now. Please note that I am a beginner to both Linux and SU2 and therefore the solution to this problem might be trivial. My apologies in that case!

Any help will be very much appreciated.


SOLUTION


The name of the .cfg file given in the quick tutorial (inv_NACA0012.cfg) does not correspond to the .cfg file downloaded in the tutorial github section (inv_NACA0012_basic.cfg). Use the right filename solves the problem.
