Hello.
I'm a novice with SU2, so sorry for the stupid question.
I've just run some of the tutorial donwloaded from the SU2 site.
Now I want to run my first simulation, a simple cfd of a profile.
Someone can explain me what to do? i know this is a genric question, but i don't know how to open the .cfg file to see and change the option and the airfoil.
What i have to do to see what is written in the .cfg?

Thanks for help

Hello,

You can open *.cfg file with any text editor. e.g) Wordpad, Notepad, Sublime text, etc.
I strongly recommend you to tweak some parameters or turn on/off several options in *.cfg file before you move on to run your own simulation.

Best,

The cfg file can be opened in any text editor. For example: notepad, word, gedit, vi, vim, emacs.... there are many options that will work.

you will also need a mesh (aka, the geometry file), but you may want to familiarize yourself with the config file and some of the provided meshes first. A new mesh (.su2) file will be needed for new geometry.

*Edit: sorry, I didn't realize someone else was answering this simultaneously!
