Hi,

I am modelling a beam with the intent on analyzing lateral torsional buckling. I am trying to keep the analysis as close to my experiment as possible. For whatever reason my model will not displace when I apply my load.

I have restrained the ends of the beam to displacement to prevent them from moving and then applied a pressure load to a tab on top of the beam in the middle. When I run the job the buckling mode is shown to be correct but the beam has not displaced vertically in any way. I tried changing the direction of the pressure from vertical to lateral and a similar issue occurs the beam does not displace in the intuitive direction.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
