Fidele is on a distinguished road
Hi,
I am Fidele a student in Mechanical engineering, I am a member of formula student team. Me and my teammates are designing a suspension system of our race car, my question is about an Anti Roll Bar (Sway bar). We have decided to use carbon fiber pipe instead of using a hollow shaft for mass saving and we think that carbon fiber is more rigid so less twist angle. İn that way we think that the design will works well.
We drew from Solidworks(Picture ARB1 : half of a pipe plus other part for analysis purpose) and used ANSYS ACP pre module (picture ARB 3) for Carbon Fiber pipe Analysis, after getting results on carbon fiber we would like to know the behavior of other parts of the assembly (the blade or sway bar arm) under the applied load but unfortunately we do not know how to do it.
For example the picture ARB 5. I selected the blade and tried to see the von-mises stress there is that yellow lighted box with Ply as a detail. How can we see stresses in other parts of the assembly ? When using only Static structural without carbon fiber module it is easy to see different stresses in a given part but this time we can not see as it is our first time for using ACP module.

Codially

Nice work.
I have read something about a fiber that can create electricity and the bad thing is it is still experimental.
Yarn That Holds Charge
I'm doing some project and reading some articles and forum like this.
