Hello to everyone!
I am new to this forum so please pardon me if this topic is already solved. As you can see in the picture below, I have a steel plate, upon which a HEA300 is sit. I'm working on an APDL environment. The plate is a shell63 (too old I know ) and what I'd like to do, when I am on /SOLU processors, is to apply a gradient surface load along a portion of this area, to simulate the distributed triangular-shape stress. I've tried SFGRAD command in several ways, but it seems that it does not work properly when it regards "volume-shaped" surface loads. So, next step was to deploy a DO loop, so that I can pass through every node of the meshed area, and apply the appropriate load. (You can see that DO loop in the image, as well). BUT, as you will see, the DO loop is strangely repeated only ONCE and then appears no warnings or errors, assigning the ultimate values of the scalar parameters to them and finally, applying one surface load on the first line of nodes. What shall I do? Any suggestions?
