Hello Everyone,
I have two different doubts to clarify. Firstly, I am working on two way FSI of very flexible body using ANSYS CFX and Transient Structural. Every time I run the simulation I will get an error but when I run the simulations using very stiff body it runs perfectly. The error will be displayed as below | | | | The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file | | has been created. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ End of solution stage. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | ANSYS Solver terminated with return code 256 | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ Initially I thought the problem might be due to meshing on fluid side as large deformations are present. But I run simulations with making required changes to meshing and also tested with very small deformations using same body. But still I am getting same error. So, now I am getting doubt that problem may be on Structure side, but everything seems fine on structure side. If any one has any suggestion or idea on solve this problem please let me know. And my another doubt is when a body deforms due to force or movement exhibited by to another body, how to calculate net force acting on deforming body. If you see the attached gif image, I generated that motion using Transient Structural. There are two bodies in that geometry one is rod and other is a sheet of flexible material. Rod is making the sheet to move as you see in image. I want to know how to calculate or measure force acting on deforming body in different directions. Please let me know. Thank You. |
