Hello folks,
first of all I'am using Ansys Workbench 17.1 for quite some time but aside from a few short command snippets I'am not so good in APDL. Thanks for your help and consideration. One corner of a rectangular glass pane has to be vertical displaced out of plane, so the glass pane gets a curvature. But I donīt want to set the displacement directly on the corner of the glass pane, but on a substructure, which is circumferential glued with the pane. Accordingly the glass pane follows the displacement. (see sketch) the substructure should consist of rigid bars/beams connected with hinge joints. Question: For the glass pane I use a shell element. Which possibilities are there for modelling rigid bars/beams? Most important is the glued joint. How and out of which elements can I model it to get tensile and shear stress? (If it is important: the glued joint is quiet elastic, 5mm thick and 10mm wide) Or has someone an entirely better approach for this problem? Thanks a lot |
