I have encounted a problem when I analysis the thermal stress of the structure.
*** WARNING *** CP = 1859.750 TIME= 15:55:37 Contact element 678402 (real ID 142) status changes abruptly from contact (with target element 678578) -> no-contact. But I can not find the the location of the element 678402(real ID 142). How can i know the node ID? Thanks very much! |

Hello Qingguo,
This how you can see the node in problem. Go to Mechanical and create a Named Selection. In the details of the Named Selection, for Scoping Method choose Worksheet; a table will open in Graphic interface. Right click here and select Add Row and set the following: Entity = Mesh Node Criterion = Node ID Value = 142 (ID of the problem node) Hit Generate, which is above the table; go to the Graphics tab and visualize the problem node; the node is shown in pink and the geometry is given along to locate it easily. Hope this helped.
