Hi , I canīt add a convergence method on a FSI problem. A pressure solution from CFX fluid analisis is beeing aplyied over a wing shaped structure as a load. When I try to add the convergence method under solution options in mechanical workbench, this option is not availabe.
If I do supress the imported pressure, and add a simple force load on the tip of the wing shaped structure, then this option is available and I can use this convergence method. Can someone tell me why? Thankīs a lot |

Sorry, I am no expert on FSI. In fact I will admit that I have never done an FSI simulation with CFX as I do not need to in my line of work But I do know a little about CFD and numerical methods in general and many of the questions asked are simple enough for that.

Hi Sijal. Thanks for it.
I do more or less know how to solve a FSI 1 way problem. But as I told you, my problem now is inside mechanical workbench. If I do apply a pressure solution as a load to my structure, I CAN get the stress over it with no problem. However if I try to use the convergence method for a better automatic mesh refinement on the higly stressed areas, this option does NOT show up. Instead, if I do apply a simple force on the tip of my wing shaped structure and supress the imported pressure, the convergence option does show up. Any suggestion? Thankīs |
