Hello,

I am starting a new modeling, about injection of urea-water in a pipe. for this purpose, I am using the Lagrangian Multi-Phase option.
During a drying phase, the water should evaporate in order to get solid urea.

As far as I understood, StarCd is not able to work on solidification together with multi-phase flow. I wanted to know if I well understood this feature, or if I misunderstand?
I am thinking to assign solid urea as a scalar when defining the products of the droplets evaporation, but it might be a wrong solution.
If anyone already has to face with the same problematic, I would be glad to hear from this feedback.

Thank you in advance for your help.

hello,
I was looking as well for the software to do exactly urea-water injections, for my knowledge Star is not able to handle it, not yet at least. You may want to check FIRE by AVL.
regards

Hello JanuszP,

Thank you for your answer, albeit not really encouraging to my case
I do not have FIRE yet, so I will have to manage in other way then.
Thanks again
